Segundo Pré‑molar inferior com canal em C – A propósito de um caso clínico

Objective: This study aimed to verify the effect of preemptive administration dexamethasone 8 mg co-administered with paracetamol 1 g compared nimesulide 100 in surgeries for extracting third molars. Methods: A prospective, randomized, triple-blind clinical trial was conducted, allocating patients into two groups by split-mouth method: Group received and paracetamol, 2 nimesulide. Each patient underwent on different occasions, evaluating parameters: pain, number consumed rescue analgesics, time first analgesic consumption, edema, trismus, satisfaction. Results: Similar results were found analgesics ingested, until ingesting analgesic, overall assessment variables. However, showed better regarding a statistically significant difference 48-h period (p=0.028). Conclusion: Dexamethasone plus is effective analgesia.
